The annual Niagara Parks Apprentice Cooks & Chefs Showcase Dinner is fast approaching, and culinary minds are eager to showcase their talents

As we continue with our showcase here are three more apprentice cooks who will be showing off their skills that evening:

Apprentice Cook Dylan Webber

Dylan likes the excitement and rush of a busy kitchen like Edgewaters Restaurant where he’s worked for the past 8 years. This is his 3rd year as an apprentice. He’s been sharpening his skills from almost the very beginning, working his way up by doing large preparation of soups and sauces for catering and events. He is often asked to work public events because of his charisma and people skills. Continue reading

Apprentice Cook Lonnie Davis

Lonnie started at Elements on the Falls restaurant 7 years ago as a dishwasher. He spent a summer and a half keeping the dishes clean while slowly helping on prep and working the line until he was offered the chance to start the apprenticeship program. That was 5 and a half years ago and he hasn’t looked back. He enjoys the exciting pace and the fact that it’s different all the time, from large functions to buyouts he serves a variety of people from all over the world. “It’s a great place to take pride in your work.” Continue reading
